Senior DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to embed directly within a fast-growing fintech engineering team, taking ownership of the infrastructure, deployment pipelines and automation that keep a critical lending platform running securely and reliably.

This is a hands-on, high-autonomy individual contributor role, working closely with product engineers to remove technical bottlenecks, standardise infrastructure, and raise the bar on how the team ships.

• Acting as the dedicated infrastructure partner embedded within a core product engineering team.
• Designing, building and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK and Terraform.
• Removing day-to-day infrastructure and deployment bottlenecks for product engineers.
• Architecting and optimising CI/CD pipelines to improve release speed and reliability.
• Implementing and enforcing AWS best practice around security, IAM, networking and high availability.
• Collaborating with the wider platform organisation to keep systems aligned to company-wide architecture and governance standards.

• AWS CDK and Terraform
• Python and Bash
• Observability tooling (Amazon Managed Prometheus, New Relic, incident.io)
• Aurora Postgres and MySQL

• Deep, hands‑on expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly AWS CDK and Terraform.
• Proven experience designing and running modern AWS architectures at production scale.
• Comfortable embedding within a product engineering team with a service mindset toward internal developers.
• Solid grounding in security and compliance within financial services or other regulated, transactional environments.
• A genuine sense of ownership and an instinct for pragmatic, lightweight process over rigid bureaucracy.
