OverviewBenefact Group are looking for a Desktop Technician to join our London office. You will be responsible for providing a first-class support service and a resilient desktop infrastructure at the London Branch Office, acting as part of the Group Technology team, and facilitating the provision, installation and maintenance of system software and hardware.
Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional customer service as part of the technology team by effectively planning, prioritising, and managing workloads.
- Provide expert guidance and support to users, resolving incidents efficiently and acting as a key liaison with service providers when issues escalate.
- Proactively monitor and optimise desktop systems and performance, using data and problem management practices to improve reliability and meet service levels.
- Maintain strong governance across change, asset, and hardware management, including documentation, software packaging, and coordination with vendors.
- Build strong relationships, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and continuously develop personal skills while identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
- Relevant Microsoft desktop technology certification (or willingness to achieve within 12–24 months) alongside proven desktop IT experience.
- Strong technical expertise in desktop support and build creation, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage clearly with technical teams, business users, suppliers, and customers.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong relationships and a commitment to delivering high service standards.
- Professional, proactive, and adaptable team player with a positive attitude, strong initiative, enthusiasm for learning, and solid educational background (minimum A-level standard).
