Senior Data Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 68,000 per year Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and scripting
• Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and cloud resource provisioning
• Experience with Snowflake for data warehouse design, optimization, and SQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling
• Hands‑on experience building ETL pipelines and data marts
• Practical experience with AWS services, including EMR, S3, and lakehouse architectures
• Experience in banking or financial services, ideally in regulated, high‑compliance environments

• Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale data processing systems and data warehouses
• Build and support data pipelines and data marts to enable analytics and reporting
• Work with AWS, Python, PySpark, Snowflake, and related technologies
• Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our data assets
• Contribute to data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation
