We are seeking an experienced Banking IT Transformation Consultant to support a financial services client undertaking a strategic review of its technology functions and operational processes. This is an opportunity for an experienced independent consultant to assess current technology capabilities, identify inefficiencies and recommend opportunities for automation, optimisation and improved operational effectiveness.

The engagement will focus on reviewing how technology supports business operations across client onboarding, transaction monitoring and wider banking functions, with the objective of identifying opportunities for process improvement, technology optimisation and future-state transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct current-state reviews of technology operating models and supporting processes

* Assess existing systems, applications and technology dependencies

* Identify manual processes, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement

* Review opportunities for automation, workflow optimisation and digital enablement

* Identify opportunities for technology rationalisation and simplification

* Assess how technology supports operational processes and business outcomes

* Develop recommendations for technology-enabled transformation

* Support development of target operating models and transformation roadmaps

* Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Experience

Required:

* Proven experience delivering technology transformation programmes within banking or financial services

* Strong understanding of banking technology operating models and processes

* Experience assessing technology-enabled process improvements

* Background in automation, digital transformation or operational optimisation

* Experience working with business, operations and technology stakeholders

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

* Experience with in regulated banking environments

Desirable:

* Previous consulting experience (Big 4 PWC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, boutique consultancy or independent advisory)

* Experience with banking platforms, enterprise architecture or application rationalisation

* Experience with RPA, workflow automation or process optimisation tools

* Experience supporting operating model transformation programmes
