Data Centre Engineer; fintech

Location: London (Hybrid) / Occasional travel

We are currently looking for a Data Center Engineer to cover London along with other EU regional locations and assist with managing the architecture and operations of data centers in those regions. This person will also occasionally provide support for other regions as needed

• Maintaining integrity of global data centres
• Oversee and guide vendors by preparing and managing Scope of Work documents and Requests for Proposals/Information
• Performing network infrastructure cabling
• Maintaining optimal A/C and power conditions for data centers and facilities
• Supervise construction fit-outs and build-outs, ensuring projects meet stakeholder expectations and requirements.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize unplanned downtime while continuously seeking process improvement opportunities.
• Lead initiatives that enhance capabilities, boost efficiency, and reduce operational expenses.

• 3+ years of hands-on data center engineering experience.
• Familiarity with HP, IBM, and Dell Servers, Blades, SAN and Cisco equipment.
• Previous experience working with backup software.
• Previous hands‑on Windows and Linux server administration experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external vendors.
• Must be a team player and self‑starter.
• Strong documentation skills to capture architecture details, procedures, and other relevant data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Regular local travel (approximately 70% of the time); occasional international travel (approximately 15% of the time).
• Must have valid driver’s license.
