Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

About the role

You are to use your operational and ILS experience and technical expertise to create and deliver a brilliant customer experience understanding the customer's needs and expectations. You are to support the BT ILS Manager to create a brilliant employee experience using team/customer data analytics.

What you’ll be doing
  • Implementation of the Obsolescence Management of work including the provision and maintenance of associated contractual documentation and programme plans
  • Ensuring timely completion of tasks, the provision and maintenance of OMP and regular reports.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders ensuring all have an established and effective obsolescence management service
  • Establishing a strong working relationship within the extant supply network for the programme.
Essential Skills / Experience
  • Experience of writing technical ILS documentation for secure programmes
  • Working knowledge of industry standards including IEC 62402, SD-22, Def Stan 00-600, the DLF and JSP 886.
  • Significant working knowledge of Obsolescence Management programmes
  • Experience in effective collaboration with Design Engineering Teams
  • Experience of technical and commercial contact with customers, partners, and suppliers
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office Toolset
Desirable Skills / Experience
  • Working knowledge of Sovereignty programmes
  • Member of the International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM)
