This is a client-facing role sitting at the intersection of our approach across advisory and delivery.
The role is split across two core areas:
- Supporting clients with data strategy, data architecture, data migration and data-led transformation programmes
- Helping Smart Co build and mature its internal data capability, including reporting, dashboards and insight across core platforms (CMAP, Sage Intacct, Pipedrive)
In parallel, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering Smart Co’s emerging AI offering, supporting clients in getting ready for AI, implementing practical use cases, and embedding AI into business processes.
This is a hands‑on consulting role. You will work directly with clients on programmes and projects, while also contributing to Smart Co’s internal growth and capability development.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Delivery (Data)
- Deliver data work streams across transformation programmes (ERP, finance, operational change)
- Support data strategy definition, including governance, ownership, quality and lifecycle
- Lead or contribute to data migration activities (planning, mapping, cleansing, validation)
- Define and implement data models, structures and reporting frameworks
- Work with client stakeholders to improve data quality, visibility and decision‑making
Client Delivery (AI)
- Support clients in understanding and preparing for AI adoption (readiness assessments, use case identification)
- Translate business problems into practical AI‑enabled solutions
- Support implementation of AI use cases (e.g. automation, copilots, insight generation)
- Work with client teams to embed AI into existing processes and systems
- Help shape AI roadmaps aligned to business value rather than hype
Internal Smart Co Data & Insight
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting across Smart Co systems (CMAP, Sage, Pipedrive)
- Improve data consistency and structure across internal systems
- Support the creation of a “single view” of Smart Co performance across sales and delivery
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve internal efficiency
Practice Development
- Contribute to Smart Co’s Data & AI propositions and go‑to‑market offerings
- Support development of repeatable assets (templates, frameworks, accelerators)
- Work with sales and leadership on proposals and client conversations
- Stay current on emerging data and AI trends and translate them into practical offerings
Core Consulting Skills
- Experience working in a consulting or client‑facing delivery role
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology
- Ability to operate across both strategy and hands‑on delivery
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced programme environments
Data Experience
- Experience in data migration, data transformation or data architecture
- Strong understanding of data structures, data quality and governance
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise platforms (e.g. D365, SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to work with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or similar)
- Experience working across multiple data sources and integrating them
AI Exposure
- Practical understanding of AI concepts and applications in a business context
- Experience supporting or delivering AI use cases (e.g. automation, analytics, copilots)
- Ability to bridge technical AI capabilities with business value
- Interest in emerging tools and platforms (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation platforms)
Technical Capability (Desirable, not essential)
- Experience with data pipelines or integration tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Exposure to APIs and system integrations
