Junior IT Architect – International Vehicle Payments
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Junior IT Architect within our International Vehicle Payments division. This position falls under our vehicle payments line of business and is located in London, UK.
You will join our technology team. This entry‑level role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is interested in how systems, applications, and infrastructure fit together.
You will support senior architects in designing, documenting, and improving IT systems across the organisation. You will report directly to the Chief Architect and regularly collaborate with teams to ensure applications, infrastructure, security, and business needs all fit together in a well‑designed solution.
How We WorkWe provide you with an assigned workspace in our London, Swindon, or Walsall office location, company‑issued equipment, and formal, hands‑on training.
Responsibilities- Assisting in the design and documentation of IT architecture (applications, systems, and infrastructure)
- Supporting the development of architecture diagrams, standards, and best practices
- Working with engineering and product teams to understand system requirements
- Helping review existing systems and identify opportunities for improvement
- Contributing to ensuring solutions align with security, scalability, and performance needs
- Participating in technical discussions, design reviews, and project meetings
- Documenting processes, architectures, and technical decisions
- Researching emerging technologies and industry trends
- 0–2 years of experience
- Strong interest in IT systems, architecture, and technology design
- Basic understanding of how applications, databases, and infrastructure interact
- Good problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly
- Attention to detail and a structured approach to work
- Willingness to learn and develop in a fast‑paced environment
- Desirable: Awareness of cloud computing concepts (hosting, scalability, services)
- Understanding of system integration and APIs
- Interest in security and data protection principles
- Exposure to working in a technical or IT‑related environment
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks or methodologies (e.g., TOGAF concepts)
- 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
