Sr. Functional Consultant

About the Team

The Workday VNDLY Functional Consulting Team focuses on delivering customer solutions and configuring Workday VNDLY to address day‑to‑day challenges. The team consults on contingent labor, staffing, and vendor management system industries, performing live demonstrations, requirement gathering, deployment, and supporting customers through various project milestones.

As a Functional Consultant you will provide full life‑cycle deployment expertise, from gathering requirements, configuring Workday VNDLY, to testing modules aligned with client business needs. Your role involves advising customers, creating prototype systems, supporting testing, collaborating with technical consultants, updating training materials, reporting status to Engagement Managers, and mentoring junior consultants.

• Understand customer business requirements and demonstrate configurations via prototype systems.
• Support the testing phase and problem‑solve throughout the project.
• Work with technical consultants to ensure seamless touch points.
• Participate in updates to training and best practices shared across the team.
• Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and keep them informed of overall project status.
• Mentor less experienced consultants and embody a team‑player mindset.

• 5+ years of functional experience in Vendor Management Software (VMS) solutions or systems including Workday VNDLY.
• Experience in contingent labor, staffing, or recruiting.
• 5+ years deploying ATS or other HR related solutions or systems.
• 5+ years consulting experience.

• 2+ years experience implementing Workday VNDLY, SAP Fieldglass, Beeline, or similar applications.
• Passion for customer service and project management.
• Team player and able to demonstrate this trait.
• Potential travel up to 25%.
• Fluency in German or French preferred.
• Flexible work schedule; supports global projects, including early morning or early evening calls to accommodate time zones.
