Deep Tech Accelerator Lead

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

• We are looking for a commercially minded leader with experience turning robotics, automation or deep tech innovation into practical business growth and scale-up.
• We need someone with strong relationship management, influencing and commercial skills.
• We are seeking experience in robotics, automation, manufacturing or technology adoption.
• You should be confident working with SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Access to a vehicle or other means of transport is essential, as we will require regular travel across Scotland.
• This is a full-time, permanent role, and we will consider alternative working patterns.

• We will develop and lead delivery of the Deep Tech Roadmap.
• We will establish a commercially sustainable accelerator model.
• We will support businesses to adopt robotics, automation and other innovative technologies.
• We will work closely with universities, investors, industry and national partners.
• We will translate research and innovation into practical, scalable business opportunities that improve productivity and growth.
• We will diagnose business challenges and design practical adoption pathways.
• We will deliver programmes that create measurable impact.
• We will spend approximately 70% of active working time in the field, collaborating with entrepreneurs, partners and colleagues across the innovation ecosystem.

We are working in partnership with a development agency to recruit a Deep Tech Accelerator Lead in Hawick, Scottish Borders. This is a strategic and operational leadership role focused on strengthening the regional innovation ecosystem and accelerating the adoption of deep tech.
