Fin Ops Consultant
As a Fin Ops Consultant you will help to drive cost optimisation and efficiency in cloud environments. This is a hands‑on and customer‑facing role helping organisations design and implement Fin Ops capabilities to continuously optimise spend and deliver maximum value from their public cloud investment.
Key Responsibilities- Collate, analyse and prioritise cloud cost optimisation recommendations and calculate potential savings and benefits using Fin Ops tools.
- Implement rate and usage optimisations within public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Create high quality customer‑facing collateral explaining cloud cost optimisation and Fin Ops and present them to customers, both technical and non‑technical.
- Design and implement Fin Ops maturity roadmaps for customers to accelerate their Fin Ops capabilities from scratch or optimise existing approach.
- Design and deliver training and enablement sessions to raise customers’ understanding of cloud finance and economics.
- Collaborate with pre‑sales, professional services and managed services to design and implement cost optimisation recommendations and best practices.
- Hands‑on experience implementing Fin Ops to optimise cloud costs, with deep understanding of levers available to optimise cloud costs.
- Strong understanding of the Fin Ops framework, capabilities, lifecycle and domains.
- Hands‑on experience with native and third‑party public cloud cost management tools.
- Comfortable public speaking and presenting to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships.
- Highly strong numerical and finance skills to investigate data and spot trends and anomalies.
Required:
- Certifications such as Fin Ops Practitioner or Fin Ops Professional.
Preferred but not essential:
- Flexibility to travel to clients and London HQ when required.
