Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Open Shift Platform Engineer to join our Openshift platform team on a contract basis, providing critical backfill support. The role focuses on the operational management, support, and continuous improvement of our enterprise Open Shift platform running on x86 infrastructure, within a highly regulated financial services environment.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, operationally strong, and proactive, with a solid SRE mindset to enhance platform reliability, performance, and user experience for internal application teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Red Hat Open Shift clusters hosted on x86 infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day operational support for the Open Shift platform, ensuring high availability and performance and BAU maintenance.
• Implement and enhance automation across platform operations (provisioning, scaling, patching, incident response).
• Maintain and improve platform reliability, observability, and resilience using SRE principles.
• Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes in line with regulated environment standards.
