Enforcement & Market Oversight (EMO) is responsible for the FCA’s responsibilities for market monitoring, delivery of the functions of the UK Listing Authority (UKLA) and the investigation and prosecution of misconduct using the whole spectrum of criminal, civil and administrative sanctions and remedies against firms and individuals.

Sitting within the Enforcement & Market Oversight Division, the Enforcement Intelligence and Specialist Services (EISS) Directorate provides strategic expertise, intelligence capabilities, and operational support across enforcement functions, strengthening the FCA’s ability to detect harm, deliver effective investigations, and uphold market integrity.

Sitting within the Enforcement Intelligence and Specialist Services Directorate, the Enforcement, Triage, Intelligence & Coordination (ETIC) Unit brings together four specialist teams to strengthen the use of intelligence, including whistleblowing, across the regulatory lifecycle, enabling smarter prioritisation and enforcement decisions that deliver impactful outcomes.
** Role responsibilities
*** Ensuring records management data standards are defined through policy, embedded and observed across intelligence repositories and that data is lawfully retained
* Helping to build comprehensive and integrated Management Information (MI) across EISS, designed to collect data that better demonstrates the impact of intelligence tools, capabilities and work, with a strong focus on data quality, consistency and reporting integrity
* Leading and supporting work to improve the quality, consistency and effective handling of intelligence logs, records and related information, identifying issues and helping to strengthen guidance, communication and ways of working
* Supporting the development and embedding of proportionate approaches, standards and good practice to improve the accuracy, consistency and management of intelligence
* Some involvement in reviewing and maintaining data sharing agreements related to intelligence with external partners
* Undertaking line management responsibilities for two junior members of staff, guiding and leading them to drive performance and  achieve team goals
** Skills required
**** Minimum:
*** Demonstrable experience in coordinating and overseeing data quality improvement activities, ensuring information is accurate, complete and consistent across systems while supporting business objectives, stakeholder collaboration and effective governance.
* Proficiency in storing, sharing, handling and using intelligence (including sensitive intelligence) effectively and securely, including managing records systems, tools, confidentiality, and maintaining appropriate quality and control standards.
* Experience in operating and administering information and intelligence sharing agreements.
** Essential:
*** Currently holds (or is willing to obtain) accreditation as a SAR Researcher /Financial Intelligence Officer
