Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Oracle Database Application and Support Team Lead who remains hands-on technically, while providing technical leadership and direction to a team of analysts. The role supports 100+ customer environments, including high-profile Public Sector organisations, across on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud platforms.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will spend a portion of their time engaged in database administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and application support. Hands-on technical responsibilities include performing and leading Oracle Database upgrades, patching, and software deployments in customer environments, conducting 3rd-line diagnostics and fault resolution, and maintaining robust backup, recovery, and restore solutions.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration, including upgrades and patching
Supporting Local government customers that use Revenues and benefits or Housing solutions
Hands-on deployment and support of Apache Tomcat-based applications
Experience working in live customer environments, providing production support
Practical experience using ITSM tools such as Ivanti, Service Now, or similar
Ability to lead technically while remaining operationally involved
Strong customer communication skills across video, telephone, and email
Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
