Platform Engineer

Skills Required:

Minimum
- Experience as a Senior Platform Engineer including a solid understanding of software engineering principles and their application.

- Experience of Scripting and pipeline automation (e.g. Jenkins and Git Hub Actions).

- Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Cloud Formation or Terraform.
Essential

- Experience of working closely with development and infrastructure teams to quickly understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Adept at leveraging automation to improve development processes and optimise software delivery.
- Ability to cooperate closely with both engineers and product teams — including designers, product managers, and analysts.
- Hands on Cloud Formation scripting, troubleshooting and debugging
- Working knowledge of Chef, scripting and troubleshooting

- Experience with Python scripting and troubleshooting

- Experience with Jenkins pipelines (multibranch), deployments, groovy scripting

- Experience with Linux commands and knowledge of troubleshooting web services

- Experience with AWS services – EC2, NLB, API Gateway, ASG, etc
