Pay: £31,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
Job DescriptionThis role involves collection of functional requirements from system users and preparation of business IT Quality Analyst:
Role Overview. Primary Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis:
Understand and analyze project requirements and technical specifications. - Test Planning:
Develop test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases. - Testing Execution:
Perform manual and/or automated testing. - Defect Management:
Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure Dev Ops. Work with developers to resolve defects. - Documentation:
Maintain clear records of test cases, results, issues, and resolutions. - Process Improvement:
Suggest improvements to development and testing processes. - Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
Types of testing may include functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Key Tools and Technologies- Test Management:
Test Rail, Zephyr, qTest - Bug Tracking: JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure Dev Ops
- Automation Tools (if applicable):
Selenium, Postman, QTP/UFT, Cypress, JMeter - CI/CD:
Jenkins, Git, Git Hub/Git Lab - Scripting:
Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
- Communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
- Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
- Agile Testing Certification (e.g., from Scrum Alliance)
