Key Responsibilities

  • Own the infrastructure roadmap and technology estate, ensuring platforms remain secure, scalable and highly available.
  • Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure, core business systems and Microsoft technologies.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement across infrastructure and operational processes.
  • Lead monitoring, incident management, patching, backup and disaster recovery.
  • Partner closely with software engineering teams to support development environments, deployments and platform reliability.
  • Manage networking, identity, endpoint management and infrastructure security.
  • Work with third-party suppliers and technology partners, ensuring services are delivered effectively.
  • Produce technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance across the wider technology function.
Skills & Experience

We're looking for a strong infrastructure generalist with experience across modern cloud environments and enterprise infrastructure.

You'll ideally have experience with:
  • Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Windows Server, Active Directory & Entra
  • Networking, firewalls, VPNs and security
  • Virtualisation and endpoint management
  • Power Shell, automation and scripting
  • Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Monitoring, performance and operational support
About You
  • Hands-on infrastructure professional with a cloud-first mindset.
  • Strong technical problem solver who enjoys improving environments rather than simply maintaining them.
  • Proactive, collaborative and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about automation, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving technology environment where priorities evolve.

You'll be comfortable working across both project delivery and BAU, partnering with software engineering teams to build secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, Dev Ops tooling or container platforms would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
