Interim Commercial Manager - Digital & IT

Location:

Hybrid - 2 days onsite in London

Duration: 6-month contract

Rate: £613 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

We're supporting a high-profile public sector organisation seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Manager to lead delivery across a portfolio of complex Digital and ICT procurement projects.

This is a fast-paced opportunity for someone who can operate independently, manage competing priorities, and drive procurement outcomes across high-value programmes.

You’ll take ownership of multiple end-to-end procurement activities and play a key role in delivering strategic sourcing initiatives across digital and technology categories.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading multiple high-value ICT procurement projects within a complex environment
• Managing a portfolio of digital procurement activity aligned to programme and business priorities
• Delivering compliant and commercially robust procurement outcomes
• Running end-to-end tender processes from sourcing through evaluation and award
• Leading complex public sector procurement exercises including framework mini-competitions and open procedures
• Providing expert commercial advice across stakeholders and delivery teams
• Driving value, mitigating risk, and maintaining procurement excellence

Requirements:

• Extensive procurement delivery experience across ICT products and services (Networks, Infrastructure, SaaS etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and PCR 2015
• Experience delivering high-value public sector tenders via Open Procedure and framework routes
• Proven end-to-end procurement ownership
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent procurement work streams
• Commercially astute with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable operating autonomously and delivering at pace
