Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

Location: Remote / London (around once every 3 Months); with occasional travel expected to Logiq’s offices in Chippenham, Bristol and/or Cheltenham.

Salary: Negotiable, plus car allowance, plus up to 10% performance bonus*, plus excellent benefits package (below).

Logiq is a fast‑growing technology company delivering secure, modern platforms for high‑risk, mission‑critical environments across the private sector and UK Central Government. We are expanding our Security Architecture capability and seeking experienced Principal Security Architects who can shape, assure, and enable delivery of secure, cloud‑native services at scale.

You will be comfortable helping Local Authorities identify, validate, prioritise and reduce vulnerability-related cyber exposure. This is a consultancy and remediation role: the consultant must connect vulnerability evidence to critical services and credible threats, coordinate practical treatment and produce defensible evidence of closure.

What you’ll do

Key responsibilities

  • Review and validate vulnerability scan results, penetration-test findings, vulnerability disclosures, exposed services, unsupported technology and configuration weaknesses.
  • Assess CVE severity, exploitability, attack path, asset/service criticality, supplier dependency and evidence confidence to prioritise treatment.
  • Establish root cause and develop proportionate remediation, compensating-control and risk-acceptance options.
  • Coordinate technical teams, system owners and suppliers through remediation, retesting, escalation and evidence-based closure.
  • Support urgent vulnerability and critical-issue triage while protecting continuity of live services.
  • Develop vulnerability treatment plans, closure records, supplier-challenge packs, triage playbooks and reusable remediation patterns.
  • Analyse recurring issues, common platforms and supplier exposures to inform sector intelligence and guidance.
  • Deliver clinics or coaching that improve council vulnerability-management capability rather than create supplier dependency.

Essential candidate evidence

  • Hands-on vulnerability-management and remediation experience in complex or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of CVE/CVSS, exploitability, scanning and penetration-test outputs, patching/configuration treatment and retesting.
  • Evidence of coordinating system owners and suppliers and tracking issues to verified closure.
  • Ability to explain vulnerability priority through service and resident/user impact, not severity score alone.
  • Clear technical reporting, escalation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Current or immediately transferable SC clearance.

Employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance, which requires 5 years’ continuous UK address history at the point of application. Travel to client sites and Logiq offices will be required.

Desirable evidence

  • SBOM, software composition analysis, dependency matching or product-security experience.
  • Vulnerability disclosure/reporting service, attack-surface management or cross-organisation coordination.
  • Cloud, identity, web application and endpoint vulnerability-management experience.
  • Power BI or equivalent service-health and action-tracking dashboards.

Why Join Logiq

• Work on impactful programmes that modernise and secure critical services across diverse sectors, including Central Government.

• Access tailored professional development pathways and support for certifications and accreditations.

• Enjoy flexible working and a competitive benefits package.
