Contract details: Fixed-term contract (18 months). Full time. Monday to Friday. 9:00 am to 5 pm. Hybrid working, some mandatory office days required.

This post has been set up with external funding. Continued employment beyond the initial 18-months contract is dependent on the ongoing receipt of this external funding.

This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality data and intelligence that supports improvement across children's services in London. Working within the London Innovation & Improvement Alliance (LIIA) and on behalf of the Association of London Directors of Children's Services (ALDCS) Sector-Led Improvement Partnership, you will develop and maintain datasets, dashboards and reporting products, transforming data into insights that inform decision-making, policy and practice.

As a LIIA Intelligence Analyst, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of data and intelligence products, with a particular focus on supporting the work of the London Regional Care Cooperative (LRCC). You will also support and deputise for the LIIA Strategic Intelligence Lead when required.

You'll play a key role in turning data into insight, helping London boroughs and partners improve outcomes for children and families. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you'll develop dashboards and intelligence products, deliver performance analysis, support improvement programmes, and provide evidence that informs strategic decision-making across London.

Using tools such as Power BI, Excel and Python, you'll create accessible and impactful reporting solutions, identify trends and emerging issues, and collaborate with colleagues across the public sector to strengthen the use of data in driving service improvement.

We're looking for someone with a passion for turning data into meaningful insights that drive improvement and informed decision-making.

You'll bring experience of analysing complex datasets and translating data into meaningful insights that support service improvement. You'll be excited by the opportunity to contribute to London-wide improvement programmes and, in particular, to support the work of the London Regional Care Cooperative through high-quality intelligence, reporting and analysis.

You'll be able to balance attention to detail with a strategic outlook, managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality. Just as importantly, you'll be a collaborative communicator who can build effective relationships, translate technical information for non-technical audiences, and work with partners to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

We'd particularly welcome candidates with experience of performance reporting, business intelligence, or data analysis within the public sector or a similarly complex environment.

• Experience analysing, interpreting and presenting complex data to support decision-making and service improvement.
• Strong skills in data analysis, reporting and visualisation using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel or similar.
• Knowledge of data management principles, data modelling and information governance, including GDPR and data protection requirements.
