Linux Platform Developer – Quant Tradingup to 140,000 – 300,000 total

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Linux Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well known quantitative proprietary trading firm, liquidity provider and market maker. They operate globally and are considered to be a market leader in their field. This is an environment of Google or a well-funded Fin Tech startup where tech is number one with huge budget allocated towards this. The members of this team are very talented Linux Engineers, Admins and Programmers, tasked with improving and building a best-in-class platform that powers the complex trading systems. The technology is a mixture of in-house and open-source allowing deep customisation and innovation on every level.

My client automates as much as they can because it reduces human error and the team holds the view that automating is also enjoyable and that should be how you also see it.

You will need:

Strong background in STEM education

Deep and fundamental knowledge of operating systems predominantly Linux Fluent on the command line and shell scripting

Comfortable with modern Linux and programming concepts like C, sockets, virtual memory etc Excellent troubleshooting skills and an understanding of debugging tools such as gdp,perf, DTrace

Experience programming in any language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Scala or other functional languages would be a plus)
