Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our high profile client in their main development team.

Our client is a small but well known big data piracy software business, disrupting a well established market.

The Linux Sys Admin will join an innovative start-up is pioneering a new concept for the large social data. The most important part of their product will be the enterprise-grade technology platform written in Python and Twisted with a Django frontend.

On a day to day basis the Linux Systems Administrator will:? Maintain and Improve my clients infrastructure? Keep their infrastructure secure against hackers and data leaks? Make sure they’re resilient and backed-up in the event of downtime? Monitor server health and performance? Support the business in requests for data

As requirements evolve you will leverage the best of the open source community, sometimes substituting your own solutions where greater performance is needed. You will be encouraged to evangelise and prototype new technologies and through doing so you will help shape the architecture.

Linux Sys Admins Must Ideally Have:§1 years commercial systems administration experience across linux§Excellent knowledge of Linux Systems Administration§Good knowledge of security principles including firewalls (with iptables)§Some Knowledge of network administration, routing, DNS§Experience with Docker/Docker Swarm, Consul and cluster orchestration§Good knowledge of server health & log monitoring tools§Ideally Scripting and Automation (e.g Bash, Ansible)
