IT Hardware Specialist with Powershell automation – Quant Trading Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Windows/IT Hardware Specialist to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well known quantitative proprietary trading firm, liquidity provider and market maker. They operate globally and are considered to be a market leader in their field. This role requires someone with good interpersonal skills who can deconstruct technical problems in order to identify and solve the needs of internal end-users. This role requires someone who has experience liaising with hardware vendors and researching the best technology for the purpose.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will liaise with the IT and Systems team and incorporate the hardware choices in Windows and Linux environments.

The ideal candidate will have:7+ years of experience in an IT Support/Desktop role focusing on  knowledge of computer hardware, desktop technologies, audio/video etc.

Good experience integrating and troubleshooting driver issues in Windows OS Excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex issues with accuracy

Powershell is a must

Have a strong understanding of hardware options and be able to provide in-depth written assessments of different hardware options.

Advanced knowledge of Active Directory/DNS/DHCPExperience working in a fast paced environment.

An eagerness to learn and strong attention to detail
