SQL Server Developer

A new opportunity has come up for a SQL Server Developer to join a growing legal software consultancy. This is a permanent position based in London. This is a hands-on development and troubleshooting role requiring somebody that has worked across a range of database environments and can get up to speed quickly. Main duties:
Designing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures. Providing troubleshooting support across a range of priorities. Investigating and resolving database performance issues. Working across several Azure SQL Database estates. Indexing strategy, query optimisation and locking and blocking. Reading and interpreting execution plans to identify and resolve performance plans. Skills and experience required:
Advanced working knowledge of SQL Server. Demonstrable experience working inside a large, mature schema. Proven experience of becoming productive and getting up to speed quickly. A background in legal or another highly regulated environment would be beneficial. Hands-on development and tuning on Azure SQL Database. Strong communication skills.
