This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Cyber Security Consultant who enjoys working directly with clients, solving real security challenges, and helping organisations strengthen resilience in an evolving threat landscape.
You’ll join a collaborative advisory team delivering cyber and information security services to a broad client base — from ambitious scale-ups through to established multi-sector organisations. Whether supporting businesses at the start of their security journey or enhancing mature frameworks, your work will make a genuine impact.
The RoleAs a Cyber Security Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering client engagements across cyber risk, security controls, and governance programmes. This is a highly varied consulting role offering strong exposure to different industries, technologies, and security maturity levels.
You will:
- Lead and support cyber security assessments, audits, and control reviews across diverse client environments
- Identify control weaknesses, clearly articulate risk exposure, and deliver pragmatic, commercially-focused recommendations
- Produce high-quality documentation including risk assessments, audit reports, and advisory outputs
- Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to design or enhance control frameworks aligned to recognised standards
- Stay current with emerging threats, regulatory developments, and industry best practice
- Contribute to improving internal methodologies and developing new security service offerings
- Build strong, trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to support future security initiatives
- Support business development activity including proposals, workshops, thought leadership content, and presentations

What We’re Looking ForEssential experience:
- Background in cyber security consulting, security auditing, or risk advisory
- Proven experience delivering client-facing cyber risk engagements
- Exposure to recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, NCSC guidance, or GDPR
- Strong communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
- Experience managing or supporting engagements independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable working with organisations ranging from SMEs to large enterprise environments
- Experience supporting or preparing for certification or assurance audits (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC-type frameworks, Cyber Essentials-style schemes)
Desirable:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO Lead Auditor / Implementer
- Exposure to vulnerability assessment or penetration testing concepts
- Understanding of cloud security principles across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or modern SaaS ecosystems
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, security automation, or modern security technologies
- Hands-on background in IT or security engineering, secure architecture, or control implementation
- Awareness of Operational Technology security or industrial security standards
- Exposure to a wide and interesting client portfolio
