Job Description Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator & Consultant to support, administer, and optimise enterprise SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments.

This role requires expertise across both SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server (2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition), including farm administration, governance, security, automation, migration, and hybrid environments. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and well-governed collaboration solutions.

Key Responsibilities Share Point  Server Administration Administer, configure, maintain, and support SharePoint Server 2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition farms

Manage farm topology, service applications, Central Administration, and farm-level services

Perform SharePoint patching, upgrades, maintenance, and health checks

Monitor platform availability, performance, and capacity

Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities

Troubleshoot complex SharePoint farm and infrastructure issues

Microsoft 365 & SharePoint Online Administer SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tenant services

Manage sites, hub sites, permissions, metadata, and information architecture

Support migration and modernisation initiatives

Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, One Drive, and other Microsoft 365 services

Implement governance, lifecycle, compliance, and security controls

Infrastructure, Automation & Support Configure and troubleshoot IIS and SharePoint web applications

Support SharePoint-related SQL Server environments and basic performance analysis

Develop administrative automation using Power Shell, PnP Power Shell, and Microsoft Graph Support hybrid SharePoint environments spanning on-premises and Microsoft 365

Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials

Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement activities

Qualifications Essential Minimum  5 years (Senior) or 10 years (Expert) SharePoint administration experience

Strong experience with:

SharePoint Server 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition Share Point  Online Microsoft 365 administration

SharePoint farm administration and configuration

SharePoint Central Administration Share Point  security, permissions, and governance

Power

Shell and PnP Power Shell scripting

Microsoft Graph and SharePoint REST APIs Share Point  migration planning and delivery

Information architecture and metadata management

Windows Server administrationIIS configuration and troubleshooting SQL Server integration and basic performance analysis

Hybrid SharePoint environments

Desirable Share Point  Framework (SPFx)
Microsoft Entra oft Purview Share Gate  and SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT)
Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub Power  Platform integration
