Job Summary We are looking for a Production Engineer to support and maintain live production systems used by global customers. The role focuses on SQL Server databases, cloud infrastructure (AWS), system troubleshooting, and production support. You will work closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and operations to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities Provide production and application support for live systems
Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
Troubleshoot performance issues, database errors, and system outages
Perform database maintenance (backups, indexing, monitoring, recovery)
Execute application patches, upgrades, and releases with minimal downtime
Plan and perform data refreshes and database migrations across environments
Support cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, EBS, backups, monitoring)
Analyze root causes of incidents and implement long-term fixes
Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams on issue status
Document solutions, procedures, and best practices
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of experience in Production Support, Application Support, DBA, or Engineering Support Strong hands-on experience with:
Microsoft SQL Server & SQL Database performance tuning and troubleshooting
Windows and/or Linux environments
Experience with :
Patching, upgrades, and migrations
Cloud platforms, preferably AWSStrong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have Experience in telecom OSS/BSS systems
Knowledge of Python, Docker, or Micro
Strategy AWS, Microsoft, or SQL certifications
Experience working with global customers and 24×7 systems
