Engineering Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Solution Architect to lead a large-scale migration from a SaaS-based platform to an on-premise infrastructure for a major financial services organisation. This is a strategically important engagement requiring strong technical leadership and hands-on experience running point on complex platform migrations.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will define the end-to-end migration strategy and target architecture for transitioning core systems from a SaaS environment to on-premise infrastructure. This includes assessing the current SaaS-based setup, identifying dependencies, risks, and constraints, and producing a clear roadmap outlining the steps, sequencing, and technical considerations required to execute the migration successfully. The architect will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure the proposed approach is technically sound, secure, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements within financial services.

They will also be expected to act as the primary technical point of contact for the migration, providing direction to delivery teams and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of progress, risks, and key decisions throughout the engagement.

Skills Must have Mandatory: 10+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar senior engineering role Mandatory:
Hands-on experience with Avaloq Proven experience in designing and/or leading SaaS-to-on-premise migrations, or similar infrastructure transformation initiatives

Strong knowledge of on-premise infrastructure design, including: networking, storage, security, deployment considerations

Ability to assess complex existing systems and translate findings into a clear, practical, and actionable migration plan Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present technical strategy effectively to both technical and business audiences

Experience working in regulated industries, especially financial services, is highly desirable due to compliance and operational resilience requirements

Familiarity with core banking or wealth management platforms is a plus
