Senior Data & AI Consultant

• Design, build and enhance modern data engineering and AI solutions for clients, focusing on hands-on delivery across Azure, Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft data platform services
• Develop data pipelines, transformations, semantic models and reporting solutions using SQL, Python, Power BI and Fabric
• Ensure solutions are robust, scalable and supportable
• Contribute to end-to-end customer solution delivery from requirements and technical design through build, testing, deployment and handover
• Follow agreed standards for quality, security and maintainability
• Work with clients and internal colleagues to understand requirements and translate business needs into data and AI solutions
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design artefacts and delivery updates
• Support implementation, governance and transition into support

• Strong hands-on delivery experience in data engineering, analytics/BI, applied or Generative AI, and/or consulting
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data engineering, including pipelines, lakehouse and warehouse, ETL/ELT, SQL and Python
• Experience with Power BI, semantic modelling, governance and performance
• Experience with Azure applied and Generative AI, including retrieval-augmented generation, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search
• Consulting skills including shaping requirements, engaging stakeholders and delivering to a high standard
• Ability to work across the experience range, from hands-on delivery specialist to senior lead or solution architect
• Microsoft certifications across Fabric, Azure and AI are welcome, though not required

Demonstrates expertise in designing and delivering data engineering and AI solutions using Microsoft technologies, including Azure and Fabric. Proficient in developing data pipelines, transformations, and reporting solutions while ensuring quality and scalability.
