This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected professional services organisation operating within the legal sector. The organisation has a longstanding reputation for excellence and relies on secure, modern technology to support its professionals and operational teams. As part of continued investment in technology, cybersecurity and digital transformation, they are seeking an experienced IT Manager to take ownership of their IT function, driving both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational excellence.
THEIT MANAGER OPPORTUNITY
As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining the organisation's technology landscape, ensuring reliability, security and continual improvement across all systems and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, software, cloud services and security systems.
- Developing and delivering the organisation's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives and stakeholder requirements.
- Leading technology projects including cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, software implementations and compliance programmes.
- Overseeing IT suppliers, service providers and technology contracts whilst managing budgets and ensuring value for money.
- Providing high-quality IT support, user training and technical guidance to professionals and support staff across the organisation.
- 5+ years' experience in an IT Manager, IT Operations Manager or similar leadership position.
- Strong technical expertise across Microsoft 365, servers, networking, cloud technologies and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments.
- Proven knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, best practices and data protection legislation, including GDPR.
- Experience delivering IT projects from planning through to successful implementation.
- Strong vendor, supplier and contract management experience.
- Experience managing IT support or helpdesk environments and driving service excellence.
- Ability to create and maintain IT policies, governance frameworks and disaster recovery plans.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving ability, sound judgement and a proactive, hands-on approach.
