Location:
Hybrid Working – London Office/Remote Reporting to: QA Team Lead Job Purpose We are looking for a super-sharp Test Engineer to work in our Agile development teams. You will be working in a great atmosphere on stimulating projects with other talented test engineers. We will need you to provide high quality testing services to the engineering team, working with other testers assigned to a project.
You will be working closely with developers and the product owner. Our testing work involves gaining a deep understanding of the product so that you can focus your testing activities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing a deep understanding of the product and system under test. Designing, writing, and maintaining automated and manual test cases. Executing test plans including scripted, exploratory, regression, and integration testing. Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects. Participating actively in Agile processes like sprint planning and reviews to ensure quality integration.
Evaluating test results, documenting defects, and reporting status to the team. This role will be subject to an employment screening process and will require security clearance.
Work Experience Essential:
Minimum three years’ experience working as a tester.
Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests.
A strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development.
Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.
Use of defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray).Comfortable using command line tools.
Debug / troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications
Desirable:
Demonstrable experience with networking.
Knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE best practices.
