Direct e-commerce, CRM, SEO, OTAs and the evidence behind every decision
Role OverviewEvery Carpe Diem booking begins online. The Digital Growth & Distribution Lead owns the digital infrastructure that turns customer interest into profitable bookings: website conversion, CRM, SEO, analytics, OTA performance and new distribution opportunities.
You will be the commercial owner of every bookable digital journey, prioritising our own websites while managing OTAs and other partners deliberately as part of the wider channel mix.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between commercial performance, customer journeys, platform relationships, product listings and technical detail.

Contract:
Full-time, permanent
Salary: £42,000 per year + performance based bonuses
Core systems:
Analytics and tagging platforms, CMS, CRM and email systems, Ventrata, reporting tools and OTA/partner portals
- Commercially hungry. You care about profitable revenue and understand the difference between traffic, bookings, net revenue and contribution.
- Comfortable in the detail. Booking journeys, product data, analytics, APIs, reservation systems, listings and dashboards do not make you switch off.
- A sharp decision-maker. You can act quickly with the available data, explain the commercial trade-off and improve the evidence as you go.
- A channel operator and relationship-builder. You are equally comfortable reviewing a conversion funnel, solving a connectivity problem or negotiating an opportunity with an OTA partner.
- Customer-focused. You understand that small points of friction—from unclear product information to a broken booking step—can cost the business meaningful revenue.
- A capable manager. You can set clear priorities for the Distribution Assistant, maintain high standards and build simple, repeatable processes.
- AI-first. You use AI practically to analyse data, identify opportunities, improve workflows and move faster without compromising accuracy or judgment.
- Experience growing online sales through owned e-commerce, marketplaces, OTAs, ticketing platforms or another digitally bookable environment.
- Strong working knowledge of analytics, tag management, attribution, conversion-rate optimisation, SEO and CRM automation.
- Experience improving websites, landing pages, product pages and online booking journeys.
- An understanding of customer segmentation, lifecycle communications and email performance.
- The ability to manage product and listing data and investigate connectivity or booking-path issues with technical and operational teams.
- Confidence analysing commercial performance and turning data into clear recommendations and priorities.
- Strong relationship-management skills, particularly with external platforms, account managers and technology partners.
- Previous management experience. Travel, tours and experiences, hospitality or leisure experience would be an advantage.
- Direct e-commerce performance. Website product pages, landing pages, merchandising, booking journeys and the prioritised conversion-rate optimisation roadmap.
- Website requirements. Identifying commercial improvements, preparing clear briefs, setting acceptance criteria and working with Tech or external developers to deliver them. Tech owns infrastructure and code; you own the commercial requirement and outcome.
- Measurement and decision support. Analytics quality, tracking requirements, attribution, dashboards, forecasts and clear recommendations for the Marketing Director.
- SEO and AI-search visibility. Technical and on-page priorities, keyword demand, content opportunities, implementation coordination and performance monitoring.
- CRM and lifecycle marketing. Data capture, customer segmentation, automated journeys, email campaign delivery, testing and CRM-attributed revenue reporting.
- Distribution and OTA performance. Product listings, content deployment, inclusions, pricing presentation, rankings, promotional opportunities, account relationships and new-channel onboarding.
- Ventrata and channel connectivity. Product setup, mapping, testing, issue investigation and escalation from a commercial-user perspective.
- Channel mix and economics. Direct-booking share, OTA contribution, commissions, promotional performance and recommendations for shifting demand toward the most profitable channels.
- Product-page performance. Ensuring copy, photography, inclusions, availability information and booking details are accurate, compelling and optimised across owned and partner channels.
- Digital support for corporate and private events. Landing pages, enquiry journeys, lead capture, CRM routing and reporting on the corporate pipeline generated through digital channels.
- Digital reputation monitoring. Tracking reviews and reputation across Google, OTA and partner surfaces and improving the performance of review-generation programmes.
- New distribution opportunities. Identifying,…
