Security Architect

Location: South East London

SECURITY ARCHITECT Summer-Browning Associates is supporting our client in the Central Government who is seeking a Security Architect for an initial 6-month assignment, with the possibility of extension.

London | Hybrid The ideal candidate will hold security clearance and have a strong background in Security Architecture within a high-threat government environment. The following skills and experience are required: A solid understanding of High-Level Security Architecture (HLD) and a secure-by-design approach. Experience leading security architecture for large-scale cloud hosting (specifically Azure and GCP) in high-threat government Tier 2/3 secure environments.

Extensive knowledge of security architecture, including identity management, device security, workstation protection, cloud hosting, collaboration tools, networking, cryptography, operations, and data governance. Strong understanding of secure Dev Ops practices, CI/CD controls, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) hardening. Experience applying security controls to AI and machine learning components, Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, as well as SABSA and TOGAF.

- Preferred Qualifications:

Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
