Are you a senior Network Architect/Lead Engineer who still enjoys being close to the technology?

We're working with a growing technology business looking for a Senior Lead Network Engineer to take technical ownership of complex networking and smart-building environments across commercial and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) customers.

This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to produce an HLD and hand it over.

We need someone senior enough to lead customer engagements, influence technical strategy and own architecture/design - but equally comfortable supporting implementation and leading the more complex projects through delivery.

You’ll act as the senior technical authority across a diverse technology environment, covering traditional enterprise networking alongside the growing world of Smart Buildings, AV, BMS, Lighting and IoT.

You’ll:

• Lead customer discovery, technical workshops and solution design
• Own HLD/LLD and network architecture standards
• Design and deliver LAN, WAN and WLAN solutions
• Lead complex customer implementations and migrations
• Act as the senior technical escalation point
• Mentor and provide technical direction to engineers
• Work closely with Sales, customers, contractors and technology partners
• Lead networking integration with BMS, AV, Lighting and IoT environments
• Define network segmentation and security across IT/OT/IoT environments
• Support new-build, retrofit and multi-site customer projects
• Help shape technical standards, vendor strategy and future technology direction

• Nokia PON/GPON

The key is seniority, leadership and breadth.

You’ll ideally come from a Network Architect, Technical Architect, Principal Consultant or Lead Network Engineer background and be comfortable operating from customer/C-Level engagement and architecture through to implementation and delivery.

We'd love someone who already understands the complete Smart Building technology stack - but equally recognise how difficult that combination is to find.

Therefore, if you're an exceptional senior Network Architect/Engineer with strong Cisco/Ruckus/Aruba experience who is excited by Smart Buildings and wants to broaden into AV, BMS, Lighting, IoT and PON technologies, we'd still be very interested in speaking with you.

You don't need to know everything on day one - attitude, technical leadership, customer credibility and the ability to learn are equally important.

This is an opportunity to become a genuine technical leader within the business rather than another Architect in a huge team.

You’ll have the autonomy to influence technical direction, lead major customer engagements, mentor engineers and work across a genuinely interesting mix of traditional networking and next-generation Smart Building technology.
