Position: AWS Platform Engineer (Contract)

Method Resourcing has partnered with a well-known technology organisation embarking on a major cloud modernisation programme. They are looking to bring in an AWS Platform Engineer to support the transformation of a large application estate while improving resilience, scalability, and recovery capabilities across the business.

This is not a traditional Dev Ops role. They are specifically looking for a software engineer with strong cloud platform experience who can design and build modern, cloud-native solutions.

The role: You will be joining a large transformation programme focused on modernising legacy applications and migrating them towards a cloud-native AWS environment. The programme is centred around improving resilience, recovery capabilities, and long-term platform sustainability.

You'll work closely with a team of AWS specialists, helping to design and develop scalable platform services while supporting the migration of a significant application estate away from legacy technologies.

This is a hands-on engineering role where software development capability is just as important as cloud platform knowledge.
