Position: Freelance Junior System Support
Location: Greater London

Junior Freelance Systems Support

1920 are looking for a Junior Freelance Systems Support to join our team later this year.

This is a great opportunity for someone with some professional IT or systems support experience who’s passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to work in a creative, fast-paced VFX environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to artists and production teams, troubleshooting connectivity, hardware, software and general IT issues.
  • Assist with onboarding new joiners, including setting up accounts, permissions and workstations.
  • Manage user accounts and access across studio systems.
  • Set up, maintain and troubleshoot workstations and other IT equipment.
  • Keep the office technology environment tidy, organised and functional, including cable management and workstation organisation.
  • Support general IT and systems operations across the studio.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues where possible, escalating more complex problems when required.
  • Work closely with the wider systems and engineering team to ensure the studio runs smoothly.
About You
  • Previous experience in an IT support, systems support or similar technical role.
  • A strong interest in technology and IT systems, with a willingness to continue developing your technical skills.
  • Experience working across Windows, macOS and Linux.
  • Confident troubleshooting technical issues and working methodically to find solutions.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with good attention to detail.
  • Comfortable supporting non-technical users and explaining technical issues clearly.
  • Organised and dependable, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy studio environment.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with in a creative, media or VFX environment would be beneficial but isn't essential.
  • Must be available to work onsite.
