Job brief

We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join our team to work closely with stakeholders to ensure cyber security projects reach their goals across the organization. You will be responsible for various tasks such as redesigning processes and documenting activities in this area.

One of a cyber security specialist's duties is to use their knowledge of our infrastructure and networks to spot dangerous features and practises. For client-based asset risk, corporate policy compliance, and vulnerability assessment, they will create customised application security evaluations. Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system management, the OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security components should be possessed by them.

The expert's attention extends beyond determining whether vulnerabilities exist to considering how those risks might be reduced, which can give organisations more assurance about the stability of their systems in the future.

In the end, you will strive to guarantee the security of our corporate data, employee data, and customer data across our whole network.

Responsibilities
  • By carrying out routine audits, you can identify security infractions and inefficiencies.
  • Upgrade our infrastructure and network systems
  • Implement and upkeep security measures
  • Determine and address current and potential security issues
  • Analyze the current environment, consider trends, and foresee security needs
  • By creating performance reports and discussing system status, keep users informed.
  • By adhering to organisational norms, you may maintain high-quality service.
  • Maintain technical expertise by attending training sessions
  • Contribute to the team effort by completing pertinent tasks as necessary.
Requirements and skills
  • Proven work experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or similar role
  • Practical knowledge of examining large numbers of logs, network data, and other attack artefacts
  • Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools
  • Knowledge of antivirus and security programmes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
