G MASS is seeking a highly motivated
Securities Operations Technology Analystto join one of our multinational banking clients. The Securities Operations Technology Analyst is responsible for supporting the identification, analysis, development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions across Securities Operations. The role combines strong operational knowledge of securities processing with emerging AI and automation capabilities to improve efficiency, reduce operational risk and enhance control frameworks.
The Analyst works closely with Operations, Technology, Data, Product Owners and third-party vendors to identify opportunities where automation and AI workflows can improve operational performance. The role requires practical experience of securities operations processes, particularly PSET (Place of Settlement), SSI (Standing Settlement Instructions) management and market settlement practices, alongside an interest in AI technologies and process transformation.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecurities Operations Analysis
- Analyse operational workflows across Settlements, Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions and Cash Management functions.
- Support the investigation, remediation and automation of settlement exceptions and operational issues.
- Maintain knowledge of market practices, settlement life cycles and post-trade processing.
- Perform impact assessments for operational, regulatory and technology-driven change.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processing.
- Facilitate the introduction of automation for the management of Settlement Instructions throughout business teams
- Understand the governance and maintenance of Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI).
- Analyse PSET requirements and settlement routing across multiple markets and custodians.
- Review settlement instruction quality and identify opportunities for standardisation.
- Assist with implementation of settlement optimisation initiatives.
- Support adherence to industry best practice, including FMSB and market infrastructure standards.
- Work with vendors to assess functionality enhancements and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Support testing and implementation of platform upgrades and releases.
- Document business requirements and operational use cases.
- Perform gap analysis between current and target-state operating models.
- Assist in evaluating vendor roadmaps and solution opportunities.
- Gather and document business and operational requirements.
- Create process maps, workflows and operational procedures.
- Support SIT, UAT and operational readiness testing activities.
- Track issues, defects and resolution activities.
- Assist in production implementation and post-go-live reviews.
- Support operational risk assessments and control reviews.
- Identify process vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure solutions align with internal governance requirements.
- Maintain documentation supporting audit and regulatory reviews.
- Contribute to operational resilience and control enhancement initiatives.
