Our client, a global leading tech trading firm, is hiring an IT Systems Support Engineer to join its technology team in London. The business runs a demanding, always-on technical environment, and this role plays a key part in keeping it running smoothly day to day.
This is a great launchpad role for someone building a career in infrastructure or systems engineering. You'll get broad exposure across hardware, networking, and internal tooling, working closely with more senior engineers who can help you develop technically over time - including picking up scripting skills to automate repetitive work.
Key responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact for technical issues across the business, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Help maintain and improve the wider network and computing environment as the business scales.
- Support onsite technical needs, including occasional physical hardware work.
- Contribute to small automation and tooling projects to reduce manual, repetitive tasks.
- Build strong working relationships across the business through clear, professional communication.
- Prior experience in a technical support or IT support role.
- Comfortable troubleshooting across operating systems, hardware, and everyday connectivity issues.
- Good foundational understanding of networking concepts.
- Some exposure to scripting or automation is a plus, but not essential.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and a strong communicator.
- Able to remain composed and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
