Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Sales Engineer Job Description

The
Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Sales Engineer
serves as a specialized overlay technical resource responsible for helping enterprise customers modernize their cryptographic infrastructure and prepare for the transition to quantum-safe security. This individual partners with regional Sales Engineers and Account Executives to articulate the technical value of Sectigo’s solutions through customer discovery, solution architecture, technical presentations, cryptographic assessments, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and hands-on implementation activities.

This senior level professional possesses exceptional technical, presentation, consulting, and communication skills, enabling strategic customers to assess their current cryptographic environments, understand modernization opportunities, and develop practical adoption strategies that align with their security, compliance, and business objectives.

This is a full-time, remote role, and we’re ideally looking for someone based in the greater London area. The target compensation range is between GBP 120K to 160K, with an 80/20 split between base salary and commission, depending on your experience and background. We also review compensation based on market trends, business needs, and the scope of the territory, so there may be flexibility for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to CISOs, enterprise architects, PKI administrators, security teams, and executive stakeholders, guiding customers through cryptographic modernization and quantum readiness initiatives.
  • Partner with regional Sales Engineers and Account Executives to identify, develop, and support strategic opportunities involving cryptographic modernization, Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), Private PKI, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
  • Lead technical discovery engagements to assess customer cryptographic environments, certificate inventories, trust relationships, enterprise PKI architectures, and machine identities.
  • Conduct cryptographic and quantum readiness assessments, helping customers identify risks, prioritize modernization efforts, and develop practical migration strategies.
  • Deliver executive presentations, technical workshops, demonstrations, and architectural reviews that communicate both the immediate and long-term value of Sectigo’s security solutions.
  • Provide deep technical guidance during architecture reviews and solution design, ensuring deployments align with customer requirements, security best practices, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements by planning, deploying, configuring, implementing, and validating Sectigo solutions within customer environments.
  • Perform hands-on implementation activities including deployment of discovery technologies, technical integrations, connector configuration, and validation as required during customer engagements.
  • Bridge the gap between technology and business objectives by helping customers understand the value of cryptographic modernization, Certificate Lifecycle Management, and machine identity security.
  • Assist with sales proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring technical accuracy and competitive differentiation.
  • Develop and refine repeatable methodologies, assessment frameworks, technical playbooks, reference architectures, and best practices supporting Sectigo’s cryptographic modernization practice.
  • Contribute to the SE Readiness Program by developing subject matter expertise, sharing technical best practices, maintaining current knowledge of assigned solutions, and delivering technical enablement to the field organization.
