Join a connectivity-focused technology team where keeping customers online, secure, and performing at their best is the day job. This role is all about owning the stability of network services, stepping in when things go wrong, tightening performance day-to-day, and making sure change is delivered cleanly with minimal risk.
Role Overview- Location: London (3 days in the office / 2 days remote)
- Taking 2nd/3rd line ownership of escalated network incidents across LAN/WAN, firewalls and wireless
- Troubleshooting complex multi-vendor environments, driving root cause analysis and permanent fixes
- Managing and delivering routine and emergency changes (patching, firmware, config updates) with clear comms
- Proactively monitoring, tuning and health-checking networks to prevent issues before they hit customers
- Working closely with project/architecture teams to ensure smooth go-lives, service transition and continuous improvement
- Strong hands-on networking fundamentals (VLANs, STP, OSPF/BGP, QoS, redundancy)
- Firewall experience (Cisco / Meraki / Watch Guard) including VPNs, NAT, HA and troubleshooting
- Solid wireless knowledge (controller-based deployments, SSIDs, security, coverage/performance)
- Experience with monitoring/tooling such as PRTG, Nagios, Meraki Dashboard (or similar)
- Confident in incident/change processes, customer communication, documentation and vendor/ISP escalation
- A hands-on role with genuine ownership and visibility across customer environments
- Hybrid working in London, 2-3 days in the office
- Exposure to varied broad networks and technologies, plenty to keep you learning
