Solution Specialist, AI & Data Services (Pharma) Who we are…
Global Data Healthcare operates an intelligence platform that empowers leaders to act decisively in a world of complexity and change.
By uniting proprietary data, human expertise, and purpose-built AI into a single, connected platform, we help organizations see what’s coming, move faster, and lead with confidence.
Our solutions are used by over 5,000 organizations across the world’s largest industries, delivering tailored intelligence that supports strategic planning, innovation, risk management, and sustainable growth.
Direct Data Solutions (DDS) is Global Data’s programmatic data delivery function, enabling clients to integrate pharmaceutical intelligence directly into their systems, workflows and AI environments. DDS delivers data via REST API, Snowflake, CRM integration, file transfer and MCP, serving clients from global pharma companies to emerging biotech and CDMOs.
As AI-native data consumption grows, DDS is central to Global Data’s strategy to evolve from a platform business into an embedded intelligence layer, powering client pipelines, AI agents and decision-making systems with structured pharma data.
We are creating this role to lead the commercial and technical evolution of DDS as AI-enabled data consumption becomes central to our clients' operations.
You will be the person in the room when a competitive intelligence director, a clinical operations lead or a VP of Commercial Analytics wants to understand what our data can do inside their own environment. You will run the discovery, scope the work, and, where needed on major deals, be capable of building a working demonstration that answers their actual question against our data, usually within days.
This is a client-facing role with a commercial outcome. It carries real scope and the trajectory of a future functional leadership position.
Who you'll be selling to: competitive intelligence teams, clinical operations, medical affairs and commercial leadership inside pharma and biotech, along with CROs and CDMOs.
- Act as the technical lead in client meetings, running discovery and translating what you hear into a concrete solution across APIs, MCP, Snowflake and CRM delivery.
- Lead MCP pilots through to production, producing the integration guidance and solution documentation clients need.
- Answer the hard questions about our data honestly and well: what we cover, where it comes from, how it's derived, how often it refreshes.
- Work with Research & Analytics and Product to make sure our pharma datasets are structured, documented and genuinely usable through APIs, MCP and Snowflake.
- Feed what you learn in client conversations back into how we shape the data and the roadmap.
- Understand how AI agents consume our data, and where that breaks, so we can improve it.
- Shape AI-focused commercial offerings, pricing approaches and proposals alongside the sales team.
- Represent Global Data with clients, partners and at industry events.
- Contribute reusable assets — demo patterns, MCP configurations, documentation — that come out of real client work.
- You have sold information as the product. You are used to clients scrutinising coverage, sourcing and methodology and you know how to handle that conversation without overclaiming.
- You understand pharma workflows. Competitive intelligence, clinical operations, medical affairs or commercial analytics — gained in industry, at a CRO or CDMO, or by selling into those teams. You know what these people actually do all week.
- A pre-sales, solutions engineering or technical consulting…
