Senior AI Operations Manager

London or Birmingham | Hybrid We are recruiting a Senior AI Operations Manager to take ownership of the operational performance, reliability and continuous improvement of enterprise AI platforms. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Security and Business teams, with a global remit and an engineering team based in India. You'll be responsible for:
Delivery and transition to operations Accountable for transitioning new AI capabilities from development into live operations. Ensuring operational readiness, including support processes, monitoring, resilience and security controls. Working with application support and wider digital services teams to embed AI solutions into BAU support. Team and delivery management Coordinating a remote, India-based engineering team covering platform, data and AI specialisms .

Providing clear direction, priorities and outcomes for the AI engineering teams. Ensuring delivery capacity is aligned to agreed priorities and service commitments. Governance, risk and assurance Ensuring AI solutions operate in line with digital, security, data and architecture standards. Identifying and manages operational risks, issues and dependencies relating to AI services. Accountable for compliance with relevant policies, AI governance principles and regulatory obligations.

Providing regular operational reporting across service performance, SLA adherence and delivery progress to both leadership and key stakeholders. Experience Needed Strong experience operating AI, analytics or technology platforms in production. Solid Dev Ops experience, including CI/CD, monitoring and incident management. Understanding of AI/ML, including generative AI and model lifecycle management.

Experience with cloud platforms, APIs and enterprise architectures. Microsoft AI experience, ideally Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft Co-pilot. Knowledge of AI security, governance and responsible AI. Experience leading or coordinating offshore/distributed teams. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Typically 5 years' technology operations experience, with 2 years in AI/advanced analytics or equivalent.
