About The Role

As a Placement Data Analyst, you’ll be joining the Asset Risk department and gain hands‑on experience in data, analytics, and insight within a commercial environment. Asset Risk is responsible for customer pricing decisions and forecasting key financial risks, including Residual Value, SMR, Insurance, and Economic Capital.

You’ll be part of our Data Analytics & Insights team, helping to ensure our data is reliable, trusted, and interconnected. You’ll support day‑to‑day operations, contribute to projects, and develop the skills to turn complex data into stories that give stakeholders clarity and confidence in their decisions.

During your placement you will:

• Deliver and present reports, dashboards, and insights, collaborating with colleagues to transform data into clear, impactful narratives and decisions.
• Learn and develop your skills in data analytics and emerging AI technologies, gaining hands‑on experience with tools such as Snowflake (SQL & Python), Power BI, Excel and ChatGPT, Copilot, and Cortex.
• Support the operational elements of our Data Governance Framework, helping monitor and maintain data quality.
• Assist in managing datasets that underpin key Asset Risk activities, learning how these drive decisions across the department.
• Work alongside experienced analysts and managers, receiving mentorship, training, and opportunities to develop both your technical and professional skills.

You will collaborate with colleagues across Asset Risk—building relationships, learning how data connects across the business, and contributing to insights that help shape strategic decisions.

• Studying in the second year of your degree that includes a year in industry, and eager to start a placement in July 2027
• Excited to join us in our London office at least three days a week
• Confidence with Excel and an interest in developing data skills.
• An enthusiasm for data, analytics, and learning new tools and techniques that you may have used in your coursework.
