We are supporting a leading professional services organisation undergoing a major digital transformation, seeking an experienced SAP Service Delivery Manager to lead the operational stability, optimisation and ongoing evolution of a complex SAP S/4

HANA environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality day-to-day SAP service delivery, managing incident and change demand, overseeing enhancements and supporting strategic transformation initiatives, including readiness for SAP RISE
.

You will lead a team of SAP analysts and developers, driving performance, accountability and continuous improvement across the SAP estate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP leader to combine operational service management with strategic transformation within a complex enterprise environment.

SAP Service Delivery & Operations

• Own end-to-end SAP S/4
  
  HANA service availability, performance and stability.
• Ensure high-quality day-to-day service delivery across the SAP estate.
• Oversee month-end, year-end and other critical business cycle support activities.
• Manage incident, problem and change demand, ensuring issues are appropriately prioritised and resolved.
• Support system health management, including upgrades, patching and performance tuning.
• Maintain a strong focus on operational resilience, service quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach and manage a team of SAP analysts, developers and specialists across BAU and project delivery.
• Allocate resources effectively across support, enhancements, audits and transformation work streams.
• Establish clear priorities, accountability and performance expectations across the team.
• Support the development of SAP capability and knowledge across the wider technology function.

Change, Release & Enhancement Management

• Prioritise SAP configuration changes, enhancements, fixes and technical requirements.
• Oversee transport and release management across the SAP landscape.
• Govern change and release processes in line with CAB procedures and established service management frameworks.
• Balance BAU requirements with project and transformation priorities.
• Ensure changes are appropriately documented, tested, controlled and implemented.
  
  Manage key vendor relationships, including Application Management Services (AMS), hosting providers and auditors.
• Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders across the organisation.
• Coordinate cross-functional activity across Finance, HR, MM, Integration and Basis areas.
• Manage competing business and technical priorities while maintaining service quality.
• Provide clear communication and reporting around service performance, risks, issues and planned changes.
• Ensure robust technical and operational documentation is maintained across SAP system landscapes and integrations.
• Support audit and compliance requirements within a highly regulated environment.
• Maintain appropriate controls around user access, authorisations and workflows.
• Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate mitigation and escalation processes are followed.
• Promote ITIL-aligned service management practices across SAP operations.
• Support strategic SAP transformation initiatives, including readiness for SAP RISE.
• Identify opportunities to optimise system performance, service delivery and operational processes.
• Support the ongoing evolution of the SAP S/4
