As an experienced Database & Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and evolving the data infrastructure that supports our finance systems, reporting environment, and enterprise applications.

What Your Impact IsIn this role, you will:
- Ensure the availability, performance, and stability of ERM's core SQL database environment and business intelligence platforms.
- Support and optimize critical business systems, including ERM's finance platform and enterprise-wide reporting solutions.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by maintaining trusted, accessible, and high-performing data assets.
- Drive improvements in database architecture, data integration, analytics capabilities, and reporting solutions.
- Partner with teams across IT and the wider business to deliver innovative, scalable technology solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of ERM's modern data platform strategy, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and advanced analytics technologies.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar role.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with database design, schema development, logical and physical data modelling.
- Strong understanding of query languages and analytics technologies, including SQL, MDX, DAX, Power Query (M), and PostgreSQL.
- Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent tools.
- Hands‑on experience developing and supporting Power BI solutions, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Experience creating and maintaining analytics data pipelines that support reporting, insights, and operational decision‑making.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric architecture, including One Lake, Lake houses, Warehouses, Pipelines, and Notebooks.
- Understanding of business intelligence best practices, including dimensional modelling, data warehousing, and data governance.
- Experience supporting mission‑critical systems with a strong focus on uptime, stability, and service excellence.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server environments and networking fundamentals.
- Experience operating within regional or global organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise finance systems or ERP platforms.
- Experience working with SSRS, Report Builder, and other reporting technologies.
