  • Work closely with the Technical Assurance Manager to deliver architectural assurance from initial design through to operational handover.
  • Provide technical oversight of supplier-delivered solutions, ensuring quality, compliance and adherence to agreed architectural principles.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into technically viable, secure and sustainable solutions.
  • Support architectural governance activities, including participation in Architecture Review Boards.
  • Ensure cyber security is embedded into technical designs from the outset.
  • Support integration planning and interoperability across a complex, multi-supplier technology environment.
  • Identify emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, resilience and long-term capability.
  • Identify, assess and elevate technical delivery risks, supporting effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience Required

We are looking for an established Technical Architect with experience delivering and assuring enterprise-scale solutions within complex or regulated environments.

Essential experience includes:
  • Extensive experience in technical architecture roles, ideally supporting large-scale programmes or complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge across cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking, application platforms and systems integration.
  • Proven experience designing and assuring secure, scalable, reliable and cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Experience providing architectural governance and technical oversight of third-party and supplier-delivered solutions.
  • A strong understanding of cyber security principles and their application within regulated environments.
  • Experience operating within multi-supplier delivery environments, managing technical dependencies and ensuring architectural consistency.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and communicate effectively with senior business and IT stakeholders.
  • Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
Desirable Experience -
  • Previous experience within nuclear, energy, critical national infrastructure or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with large-scale digital transformation programmes and emerging enterprise technologies.
  • Knowledge of EDF Group digital initiatives or lessons learned from major UK nuclear infrastructure programmes.
  • This is an opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant nuclear new build programme, helping establish the technology foundations required to support the delivery and long-term operation of critical UK energy infrastructure.
  • You will work within a technically complex environment, collaborating with experienced engineering, digital and technology professionals while influencing architectural decisions across a major multi-supplier programme.
  • If you are an experienced Technical Architect looking to apply your expertise within one of the UKs most ambitious infrastructure projects, we would welcome your application.
