Lead Data Modeller

Data Modeller (Databricks) | Investment Banking | Contract The role A major investment bank is looking for a Data Modeller to design and build data models on its Databricks lakehouse. You'll work across the medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold), turning raw trading and finance data into clean, trusted models the business can use. What you'll be doing Designing conceptual, logical and physical data models in Databricks Building out bronze, silver and gold layers with clear modelling standards Working with data engineers, architects and business stakeholders to get requirements right Keeping models documented, consistent and easy to maintain Challenging poor design and pushing for better practice What you'll need Proven data modelling experience (dimensional, 3NF, data vault or a mix) Hands-on Databricks and Delta Lake Solid understanding of medallion architecture, built in the real world Strong SQL Financial services or capital markets background is a big plus Nice to have Unity Catalog PySpark dbt or similar tooling
