Quantitative Data Analyst

Betsson Group operates in the sports betting industry.

• Develop and refine models for predicting match outcomes using statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and AI techniques
• Build and maintain models that analyze player performance and predict individual contributions
• Design and implement risk models to optimize exposure and support long-term operational sustainability
• Develop models for new market offerings, including derivatives and micro-markets
• Collaborate on modernizing modeling technologies by exploring and implementing tools and platforms to improve efficiency and scalability
• Develop new data-driven methodologies for sports betting analytics
• Work with the data engineering team to optimize data storage and retrieval for model development
• Identify and collect relevant data sources for model development and improvement
• Document model methodologies and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with the performance analysis team to identify model improvements and refine analytical tools

• PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering
• Proficiency in C# and Python
• Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning modeling techniques
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical information to diverse audiences
• Understanding of the sports betting industry, sports trading, and sports modeling
• Ability to solve complex problems and justify chosen methodologies
• Proven experience building and deploying mathematical models
• Proficiency in data retrieval and statistical analysis 5+ Years of experience in a quantitative role
