About the role

We are looking for an experienced AI and Cloud Director to grow our AI, Data and Cloud practice in the UK and help clients turn technology ambition into measurable business value s is a senior, client-facing leadership role combining strategy, solution shaping, delivery ownership, commercial growth and practice building.

You will bring strong expertise in AI and Agentic AI alongside deep cloud architecture experience. You will shape our UK go-to-market strategy, lead major technology transformation programmes, build senior client and partner relationships, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Practice strategy and growth

Define and execute the strategic direction for the UK xTech AI, Data and Cloud Centre of Excellence.

Shape the service portfolio, propositions and reusable assets across AI, data and cloud, based on client demand and measurable outcomes.

Own the practice's commercial performance, including pipeline, revenue, margin and utilisation.

Work with BIP senior leadership to align UK priorities with the firm's global AI, data and cloud strategy.

Client and solution leadership

Act as a trusted adviser to C-level clients, translating business priorities into practical AI, data and cloud solutions.

Lead executive workshops, discovery and solution-shaping activities across complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Guide the design of enterprise solutions spanning Generative and Agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation, automation, modern data architectures and cloud platforms.

Lead engagements from proof of value through to production and scale, working with multidisciplinary teams.

Technology and delivery

Set the technology and architecture direction across AI, data and cloud programmes, acting as the final escalation point for major design decisions.

Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-efficient, responsible and production-ready, with appropriate governance, monitoring and evaluation.

Oversee AI adoption, cloud strategy and workload migration roadmaps across complex client technology estates.

Manage a portfolio of engagements, maintaining accountability for delivery quality, business outcomes, risk, budgets and timelines.

Team partnerships and business development

Build, lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of AI engineers, data specialists and cloud architects, including hiring, mentoring and capability development.

Develop relationships with technology partners such as Anthropic, Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud to create joint pipeline and co-delivery opportunities.
